I'm Sophie Szabó, a Berlin-based portrait and festival photographer originally from Barcelona — and a resident photographer at Bucht der Träumer for four years now.
Portraits are the heart of my work — DJs and artists, and the people dancing in front of them. I don't pose anyone. I steal the moment: the real expression, the connection between the booth and the floor.
I started in 2017 at Ozora (Hungary, ~70,000 people) and have since shot Own Spirit, Evolve, Gardens of Babylon, Island Tribe, Pura Vida (as lead photographer) and Garbicz.
I work in photo, video and reels, and I shoot with 360° cameras — they capture a set from inside the moment: the artist, the crowd and the whole room in one frame.
